Hope and Grant | Holcomb Gardens and The Canal Walk | Indianapolis, Indiana
Updated: Dec 8, 2019
This engagement session was quite the adventure. We were originally scheduled to shoot at five but with a nasty rain storm suppose to hit at 4:30 we decided to push the session up to 3:30. So when we get to the park, and I took a glance at the radar I knew that 3:30 was not earlier enough and we were definitely going to be hit with rain sooner rather then later. So we started off and we're moving. Hoping to finish at Holcomb Gardens before the rain hit. We managed to shoot the first outfit and started on the second as the sky was quickly changing from blue to black. We were moving through shots quickly, before we realized there was no time left and all broke out in a spirit to the car as the flood gates opened. We definitely were all a little wet as we got back to our cars, but we decided to use that time to move over to the Canal Walk and change into their final outfits. We then went down on the canal using umbrellas to keep Hope and Grant dry, shooting under a bridge while Evan and I stood holding umbrellas and cameras getting all the shots we needed. We thankfully were able to get some amazing shots even in the rain, but it was quite the adventure.
Hope and Grant were such a great couple to work with especially through the storm. Their excitement and smiles stayed even as we were poured on. Keeping such a positive attitude the entire time. But besides the fact that they didn't let the rain stop them from having an amazing engagement session, this couple was just all around great to work with. Hope and Grant are seriously such a dreamy couple, not only are they so cute together, they were just so easy to be around. I felt like I had known them forever as we just fell into conversation throughout their session. We learned all about their plans after Grant finishes Physical Therapy school, and chatting over them meeting in undergrad. These two are seriously cute together and I could of photographed them all day. I mean they are so dang photogenic and so sweet to be around!
