Williams Wedding | St Mary's Temple of Peace and St Aldabert's Hall | Grand Rapids, Michigan

I love traveling for a wedding and shooting at new venues, so leading up to the Williams wedding, I was beyond excited. But I was also excited because of this sweet couple, and how excited they were for their big day!
Shy and Drakkari had a gorgeous day surrounded by so many family and friends who poured a ton of love on them throughout it all. The day started with gorgeous details. Shy opted for fans instead of florals and her sparkly fan was the perfect amount of extra and fun. Her jewelry perfectly complimented her dress, and the overall vibe of her day. Her girls also had fun jewelry to match their dresses, and gorgeous head pieces. Their church ceremony was officiated by Drakkari's grandmother, and included a poem reading by their niece. Family was full incorporated in the ceremony which continued into the reception as Shy's mom and grandmother made the delicious food, and family members made the centerpieces. There was not a single part of the day that family or friends weren't involved in between everything they did, as well as the support they gave to the couple. They also honored their family members who could not be there. Shy's father passed in November, so she danced with her brother's in place of a father daughter dance. Tears were in everyones eyes as we watched, and I felt it was such a special way to incorporate her dad in her day.
Besides family and friends, there was one amazing bridal party. The second I was in the space with the girls while they got ready they were so friendly, adding me into conversations, making sure I was comfortable, and just making everyone laugh. They were seriously so sweet, and all so excited for Shy as she was about to become Mrs Williams. The guys were equally great as they were all excited for Drakkari, and constantly making sure he looked his best in photos. All around the bridal party was such a great bridal party and brought so much fun to the day. Literally wish I could take this bridal party to every wedding as they really brought the party, and were so energetic and a absolutely blast to be around. Truly loved this bridal party.
Besides the bridal party being amazing, there was the amazing sweet couple in the middle of it all. Shy and Drakkari were seriously so sweet. Shy made sure we were having a good time, ate lots of food, and were taken care of the entire day. I always find that so sweet when a bride takes the time from her wedding day to check on my second shooter and I. Just really shows you how much of a big heart they have. Both were so sweet to us, and all smiles the entire day. They were both filled with excitement to become husband and wife and both filled with so much love for each other. Their hand written vows filled my eyes with tears as well as many others as they both proclaimed ever lasting love through it all. These two were a match made in heaven, which was especially evident as we watched Drakkari love on his wife after her dance with her brothers to honor her dad. All around these two were so great to work with, and have a long and happy life ahead.
