Bultemeier Wedding | Peace Lutheran and The Lighted Gardens | Ossian, Indiana

I know I say a ton of couples are near and dear to my heart. But this is true. I love each and every one of my couples, and this year I have had the pleasure of photographing the weddings of several people I have known, including Ale and Zach. Ale and Zach are yet again two special people to me. I went to high school with Ale, many years ago. I met her at the end of my freshman year at cheer tryouts. I was going to be a sophomore and she was an incoming freshman. While we didn't cheer on the same team, we spent a lot of practices together. I then switched schools at the end of my sophomore year, and thought I wouldn't see anyone from school again, and I was wrong. As I sat down in my Critical Reading class as a senior in college, a red head walked in who I realized I had to know from somewhere. However it had been 6 years, and things had obviously changed. The next day she was sitting in my native american literature class. It finally clicked about 2 weeks later that we had gone to high school together. About 6 weeks into the semester Ale reached out to me about being her wedding photographer and I was actually pretty surprised. Our critical reading teacher asked us what we did for a living outside of school, and I had mentioned I was a wedding photographer. I didn't expected anyone to remember. However not only did Ale remember, but also two more of my classmates always reached out. But I am so thankful Ale contacted me about being her wedding photographer. We met for coffee and everything was set in stone. We then spent the rest of the semester reconnecting, talking about our dumb classes, praying we could get each other through Native American Literature, and talking all about her wedding. I've said it once and I will say it a million more times. I am so thankful for my job and the fact that it brings so many of my old friends back into my life, and allows me to be a part of one of the biggest days of their lives.

Ale and Zach tied the knot on a very hot day in July, at the gorgeous Peace Lutheran Church. Seriously just wait until you see the photos, this church was so pretty! It had a beautiful arched ceiling, and amazing stained glass. Basically how every wedding photographer wishes all churches looked. They then followed with a reception at the adorable Lighted Gardens. But besides the beautiful venues, there was a lot of small details that completed the day. For one, the flowers. Ale choose the prettiest pink, and purple bouquets that I was 100% obsessed with. They complimented the day and her color palette perfectly. There was the adorable mismatching bridesmaids dresses, which is one of my favorite looks. There was also the tear jerking prayer before the ceremony. Zach and Ale wanted to pray together before the ceremony, but not see each other. So we found a door to place between them. However when Zach and Ale's hands met, Zach started to weep, and I was struggling to hold it together behind the camera. It was so sweet, and such a tender moment. Combining all that with an amazing bridal party and the day was absolutely perfect. Seriously this bridal party was one to remember. Between the maid of honor's speech which ended with Ale and Zach looking into each other's eyes while she said "you are not looking into the eyes of the person who is statistically most likely to murder you." Which was followed by the best man's speech which included several jokes that included "No one should look more handsome then the groom, but I didn't want to wear a bag over my head" and giving a shout out to all their vendors present including myself and my second shooter, which totally made my day. This bridal party was filled with hilarious and loving friends and siblings who did nothing but pour love out on these two.

But after all the details, and awesome bridal party are taken away, there was this amazing couple at the middle of it all. Ale and Zach are two of the sweetest, loving, gentlest people I have ever met. As a wedding photographer, I have seen it all so I know for a fact that these two are going to last forever. I could not dream of a better man for Ale, or a better match for Zach, even if I tried. This couple was truly brought together for the purpose of being together forever. They totally compliment each other in every way, and love each other full heartedly. They are one of those couples that just make my heart swell because I know they are 100% perfect for each other. I literally could write a love story about these two thats how perfect they are together. But I can't resist sharing their photos any more because their day was absolutely beautiful!
