Nick and Kelsey | Downtown Auburn | Auburn, Indiana

Updated: Dec 8, 2019

As a photographer I love all my clients, but sometimes I have clients that I just LOVE. I'm talking the type of clients you could shoot every day and never get tired of. The type of clients that you just click with and could totally see yourself becoming friends with. The ones who literally are just 100% awesome. The type of clients I hope I never stop photographing. Kelsey and Nick are totally those types of clients. I seriously can't even find words to express how much I love these two!

When I first met Nick and Kelsey it was at Starbucks and we met to discuss the possibility of me photographing their big day. The second I met these two I knew I had to be their wedding photographer. First off Kelsey is absolutely stunning, and I know I say this about all my brides, but it is the truth. She also is literally the sweetest person ever! And then there is Nick, her adorable fiancé, who compliments her in every way. But it wasn't just their looks or personalities that sold me. It was also the fact that Kelsey and Nick are both teachers! (side note: for those who don't know I am currently in my student teaching) They also asked if they could include their German Shepard puppy in their engagement photos. I wanted to scream yes. A gorgeous couple and a puppy? Sign this girl up! I was over the moon when they booked.

We scheduled their engagement photos for February, and it was probably one of the coldest days. Nick and Kelsey didn't even complain once. Meanwhile I chose Vans to hike through the snow in (big mistake) and literally had to stop the shoot twice to warm up. Thankfully we did part of their engagement photos on Nick's dad's property and his step mom was sweet enough to lend me some boots so my feet weren't getting frostbit. The other half of their engagement photos were done in downtown Auburn which just provided a perfect backdrop. They did bring their adorable German Shepard puppy, Thor, who was the highlight of the shoot. Not only is he the cutest German Shepard I have ever seen, he is also super friendly and so photogenic. Just wait until you see these photos.

Now I have to say the main reason why Nick and Kelsey wanted to bring Thor. It was because he played a huge role in Nick's proposal. Christmas morning Nick proposing using Thor. He changed his tag on his collar to one that said "Will you marry me?" He told Kelsey to look at Thor's collar and when he did he got down on one knee. HOW CUTE IS THAT? I thought that proposal only existed on Pinterest! But the best part was not Thor, it was the fact that Kelsey had absolutely no idea! And I just want to take a minute to say that Nick did an amazing job because that is not only the cutest proposal, and Kelsey didn't even know it was coming! He also picked out a gorgeous ring on his own. Could this story be any more perfect?!

Now while I could rave about these two for hours, I want to get to their adorable photos! So enjoy this gorgeous couple and their handsome dog!
